MCG helps its clients develop a written statement of investment
policy including plan objectives such as funding levels and risk tolerance.
This policy statement also includes the implementation of that policy
through a specific investment manager structure.
The manager structure portion of the policy statement describes the
kinds of active and passive management desired as well as the objectives
against which each is measured.
The development and maintenance of this policy is guided by the long-term
objectives of the trustees, the financial condition of the plan as presented
by the fund actuary, and appropriate federal and state laws.
Asset management of jointly trusteed funds is a dynamic, constantly
changing field. MCG accepts the responsibility to keep trustees and
their staff apprised of developments that can affect their investment
program.
We believe it is our responsibility to inform trustees of new investment
vehicles as they are developed and to make recommendations as to their
appropriateness in the fund.
