MCG’s custodial service includes a range of services dedicated to assisting clients in evaluating and selecting custodians.
We monitor global banks and custodial service providers on a continual basis and provide clients with an annual Custodial Evaluation Profile review. This report is unique to MCG. Our custodial monitoring includes performing onsite due diligence and monitoring the personnel and technology in place to provide a qualified evaluation of a bank’s operational efficiency processes, including accounting and reporting accuracy, compliance and controls, experience, and overall competence.
We help our clients match custodian cost structures with the appropriate levels of service by providing solutions, education, and comparative industry trend evaluations. In our search process, we perform custom custodian searches, fee modeling analyses and assist clients with custodian change transitions.
MCG also performs detailed reviews of securities lending programs and helps clients understand the risks and contractual obligations of such programs. We evaluate and monitor various types of securities lending structures and work with the custodians and/or lending agents to ensure the securities lending programs offered meet our clients’ needs for liquidity, duration, diversity, and other needs specific to the individual plans. We also provide frequent securities lending reports to update clients participating in lending on the status of their Fund’s exposure to these types of programs.
