Investing Manager Analyst - Private Equity and Real State
Summary:
Seeking an investment analyst with the ability to perform due diligence on investment managers, primarily in private equity and real estate. This research will assist MCG traditional consulting clients and MCG Fiduciary Services (discretionary management) clients. The analyst should be detail-oriented, efficient, and analytical, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative research on investment managers.
Review documents and databases to evaluate new investment strategies, new managers, and new products.
Perform write-ups and give feedback on the analysis conducted. Communicate with consultants on an ongoing basis.
Present investment manager prospects and search candidate recommendations to the consultants and research team.
Help clients do long-range planning and projections for private equity and real estate.
Conduct meetings with on-site and off-site visits.
Travel to visit managers or clients or to attend annual meetings.
Assist with client reporting as needed.
Work in a team environment in making group decisions. Work independently in completing task and projects. Work on short- and long-term projects.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Investment Manager Analyst – Private Equity and Real Estate
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree with a major in an analytic field such as finance, accounting, or economics.
5 years of investment-related work experience, preferably in private equity and/or real estate.
MBA and/or CFA desirable.
