MCG Staff

Consultants

A key strength at MCG is the breadth of our Consultants’ experience. While many firms have consultants whose experience is limited to working for investment managers or other financial entities, many of our Consultants have worked for plan sponsors in other capacities such as administrators, benefit consultants, executive directors and an ERISA attorney. Consequently, our perspective is broader than simply providing expertise in investments. Our Consultants’ advice reflects this range of perspective, often accounting for plan design, funding ideas, organization risk and other solutions that are unique to Public and Taft-Hartley plans.

Fiduciary Services

Through MCG’s Fiduciary Services, MCG assumes the role of Named Fiduciary, becoming responsible for the asset allocation decisions and investment manager selection, integrating guidance from trustees,. These decisions are made by a team of seasoned industry and firm veterans, the Fiduciary Services Management Committee, consisting of MCG’s senior leadership.

Proxy Voting Services & Corporate Governance

MCG’s Proxy Voting and Corporate Governance Service enables clients to discharge their fiduciary duties for proxy voting. Through this service, MCG helps clients develop a proxy policy statement and votes the fund’s shares in the economic best interest of the fund’s beneficiaries. In addition, upon client request MCG will assist clients in engaging portfolio companies on matters of shareholder interest.

Reporting & Client Services

MCG’s In-house reporting team gives us the ability to know about each piece of a plan's investment program because we created it specifically for our clients and based upon our client's input and ideas. Addressing our clients concerns and plan requirements in every aspect of our reporting process helps us deliver a clear, useful, and adaptive reporting package to our clients.

Research & Manager Search

MCG’s Research Department brings exceptional value to our clients, with staff members assisting MCG’s Consultants in performing asset allocation studies, manager searches, trustee education and special research projects.
